Getting familiar with different flyer sizes

Flyers come in a variety of sizes. If you’re unsure about what would work best for you, here’s a rundown of some of the most popular dimensions that we offer.

A4 flyer

A4 flyers are great for advertising. Measuring at 210 x 297 mm, their size makes them great for large images, lots of text and other interesting advertorial information — with plenty of room to spread things out.

A5 flyer

At half the size of the A4 format — 148 x 210 — A5 flyers are the perfect size whether your collateral is text heavy or has a lot of images. There’s still lots of room here to play around with spacing, too.

DL and 6pp DL flyer

DL flyers are another very popular size. Their smaller dimensions make them convenient, and they come in handy for things like event, product and service promotion. DL is a great option for those grab-and-go style flyers, too.

If you need a little more surface area, like the A4 offers, 6pp DL flyers are a great option. These folded pamphlets are essentially an A4 flyer that’s folded in two positions into the size of a DL. You get the best of both worlds with this one, and they’re great for stuffing a lot of information into a small package.

Digital and offset printing services

At G Force Printing, no job is too big or too small! No matter if you need to print a little or a lot, we have you covered with digital and offset printing solutions.

Digital printing is a method where the print is created using a digital-based image and is transferred directly from the computer onto paper or cardboard. It’s a cost effective solution for smaller print runs that offers faster turnaround times, full colour (CMYK) and better flexibility in terms of personalisation during the printing process.

Offset printing is another common technique, wherein an image is transferred from printing (or chemical free aluminium) plates to a rubber roller and then onto the page. This method is a better option for larger print runs, offering high-quality printing with pantone and CMYK colour options, and a wide paper selection.

In general, here’s a breakdown of our printing service standard for runs, based on the format and quantity required for the job:

  • A4 Digital Printed - less than 500 double sided copies
  • A4 Offset Printed - more than 500 double sided copies
  • A5/DL Digital Printed - less than 1000 double sided copies
  • A5/DL Offset Printed - more than 1000 double sided copies

The cost of custom flyers

Printing flyers on your own can be a stressful and costly undertaking. It’s one of those jobs that needs to be done right the first time — and it should be. When you outsource your project to G Force Printing, you’ll get flyers that are designed, printed and delivered all by one great team.

Outsourcing your printing offers a myriad of benefits. With us, you’ll get:

  • Better quality printing done on specialist equipment by professionals in the trade.
  • Colour that bleeds to the edge of the page for a polished finish.
  • Saved time and stress caused by dreaded paper jams.
  • Cost-effective printing that saves you money on print toners and paper.

What to include in your flyer

Every flyer is different, but they all share a common purpose — to deliver a message. During your design process (or ours!), you should look to include:

  • A clear goal — what is the purpose of this flyer?
  • A great headline.
  • A powerful message.
  • Eye-catching images and graphics.
  • A compelling call to action.
  • Your contact information.

An effective flyer isn’t something that’s thrown together at the last minute. It’s a deliberately and meaningfully designed asset that speaks to your target audience and helps you achieve a goal. Needless to say, an impressive and effective flyer takes a lot of work. But that’s why we’re here.

A high-quality print job is only as good as the design it originates from, so let us help you do both.

Digital or offset — which option is right for me?

Digital printing is best for smaller print runs, jobs that require personalisation during printing (i.e QR codes) or for clients who need a faster turnaround time.

Offset printing is the better option for larger print runs. If you’re looking for true pantone colour or a wide paper selection, offset is the way to go.
